SEX AND ITS VARIOUS AND CONFLICTING ROLES IN SOCIETY. PART 9.

In the respect of us being socially and emotionally conditioned how to respond to the same and opposite sex, and what aspects of them/us lead to us being aroused.

There are also what we might see as 'aesthetic' and 'hygiene' issues around the 'naturalness' or 'unnaturalness', when us humans discuss homosexuals, lesbians and heterosexuals 'having sex.'

As well as, of course, providing the emotional and companionship which is a function of all 'intimate or sexual' relationships.

It is probably not surprising that us humans, at this stage in our physiological, psychological and social evolution.  Should continue to be seriously conflicted about our sexual orientation and our utilization of our sexuality.

That we should still be vacillating between 'sexual puritanism' and 'sexual devaluation'.

Between using 'sex' and, in particular, its most deep rooted symbolisation, women, as a medium for selling probably nearly every consumerism product.

From cars to washing machines. From clothes to holidays.
At the same time, there is a counter current which is now striving for more 'de-sexualisation' of women, of the female of the human species.

Fearing, rightly, arguably, that the pendulum has swung too far towards the over-sexualisation of women and females, in general.

That men, the male of the species, is almost incorrigibly and unconscionably predatoral in their sexual inclinations.

To be continued!
