Of course, while their is, indeed, some sound basis for this concern, just as how the exploitation of women and their sexuality, both real and idealised, has become extreme. 

So is the risk of extremists measures to fight against it, leading to unhealthy consequences for the peaceful and harmonious evolution of the physical, psychological and emotional relations between them and men.

There is a balance to be had around the issue of how humans deal with our sexuality and its differential roles. 

Whether it be that of continuing to promote the survival of our species, or of facilitating our mutually consented sexual pleasure, of the somewhat ironic 'sexification' of our commercial affairs. 

Those who are, deliberately or otherwise, seemingly attempting to 'clinicise', 'tabooify' and 'puritanise' human sexual relations, are in danger of returning us to the dark, terrible and oppressive past of puritanism.

Of course, it might well come to that, in a few centuries, if the current trend in the West continues.  And returns humanity to the sexual and associated repression which is so much a part of normality, in those countries which have a more quasi-sanctified approach towards human sexuality and its objectification.

And how ironic would that be, if, having taken so much credit, probably much of it justifiably so, for bring the world, alot of it, out of the dark ages, the West were to be the region which takes it back to the Middle Ages?
