A state of being where it might not be necessary for the right wing paramilitaries to have to be as active as they have been in the past. 

But might still become more active, so that the Bolsonaro regime can have more leverage to claim that, 'it wasn't me'.

Yeah, so, why did the chicken crossed the road; why does any animal, or, indeed, human, cross the road? 

Why do we want to get over to the other side, as it were, if not to continue on our journey of looking for, finding whatever it is that we are searching for?

Why do we cross from the right to the left? Why do some of us tarry in the middle of the road, contemplating whether we should continue to cross over to the right or the left, or return to our original starting point.

The people of Brazil are no different from millions of other people all over the world. 

Except probably in that they seem to be more conservative and partial towards supporting fascistic leaders and philanders than other people. 

The Chicken crossed the road for the same reason why millions of Brazilians, the Jairois, are now set to cross the political road from the left and centre to Right. 

They are fed up with lot, and are holding the rest of the population, those of the left and the middle, whom they blame for their plight and the plight of Brazil. 

But, like the children, the Jairois are likely to get run over and crushed by the vehicle of fate; even if it takes a few years. Why? 

Because, like chickens, people can be very fickle and irrational at times, running hither and dither, in their search for the elusive panacea for their problems, and their advancement towards the ever receding utopia.

Opting for the reign of Jair Bolsonaro and the Jairois, is not a prudent move on the part of Brazilians who are getting ready to vote for him. 

However, the real tragedy is that they are thinking that it is not them, but other Brazilians who are not as politically gullible and morally bankrupt. 

Who are likely to have to pay the greatest cost of the reign of the Jairois. For that, it is difficult to believe that the more Enlightened and astute Brazilians, those whose lives and livelihood will become imperilled, or, indeed, the gods, can forgive them.

It is said that a nation gets the leader it deserves, but, surely, Brazilians, the majority of them, do not deserve to have a leader like Jair Bolsonaro; unless they overwhelmingly vote for him to become their President? 

Brazilians should allow their votes to be informed by their prudence, and not their impetuosity and recklessness.
