ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX - ANOTHER WIN FOR TEAM MERCEDES AND HAMILTON, AS SEASON CLOSES! THE END.....!

Probably the most defining aspect of the the 2018 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and 2018 Formula 1 Season in general, was not what occurred during the race, but what happened after it. 

It was the comradeship, the espirit de corps, the sense of  coming together and euphoria which washed over the racers and teams. 

It was about the display of respect and feeling of shared pleasure and joy between the racers. 

Between Hamilton and Vettel, between Hamilton and Fernando Alonso, between Hamilton and Verstappen. 


Between Vettel and Alonso, and between Verstappen and Vettel, and between them and all the other drivers. 

It was about the fact that Ocon and Verstappen could race each other wheel to wheel, displaying mutual respect for each other, after their tantrum during the Brazil Grand Prix. 

It was the fact that this coming of age, this display of maturity and heightened professionalism.  

Of humanity and humility unadorned by inappropriate egocentrism and masochism, seem to have reverberated outwardly to infuse Formula 1 fans and the watching public.


This display of humanity and humility, then, is what is the most defining achievement of the 2018 Formula 1 season, and is what should also infuse and inspire the 2019 and future seasons.

But for now, A Very Big Congratulation to Team MerHam, for making it to P.1, and to Team FerrarVet, for making it to P.2, and to Team Red BullVestap, for making it to P.3.

May all the teams, including the much reconfigurated ones, have a great Winter break. 

 And may all the drivers whose Formula 1 careers have now ended, have a good retirement and successful careers in whatever new adventures they will now embark upon!
