JUST A THOUGHT - ON HOW 'FAILING COUNTRIES' IN THE AMERICAS CANNOT RESOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS BY RETURNING TO THE 'OLD WAYS.' PART 11.

It is a process which will involve probably all of the different mindsets of the protagonists to be expressed in forceful and 'extremist' terms.  

Both in terms of great compassion and hospitality towards the newcomers, and in 'extreme hostility' towards them. 

As the different sides, depending on their particular perception of 'the problem' seeks to 'shock' people into reacting to it. 

By 'dramatising it' or to 'under-stating it', in order to make it appear to be 'unmanageable' or 'manageable.'  As they attempt to validate their preferred approach to dealing with 'the problem.' 

The increasing population of a country, does not, ipso facto, make that country wealthier. 

But it could make it poor, as its resources becomes more quickly depleted. 

As we can see from the experience of Haitians destroying nearly all of their forests, and leaving their eco-system at the mercy of drought, arid soil, land erosion, etc. 

Before setting about doing the same to their neighbour, Dominican Republic. 

This almost criminal tendency to take all or most of what the earth and environment has to offer, and do nothing to replace and/or replenish what has been taken. 

Whether it is deforestation, the extraction of minerals from the earth, or the poisoning of our/your environment. 

Or, yes, the poor and destitute of the earth pursuing the impossible dream of moving to the more affluent northern hemisphere. 

In a reverse search for Eldorado, to acquire a better life in countries which have already been developed.
