JUST A THOUGHT - ON HOW 'FAILING COUNTRIES' IN THE AMERICAS CANNOT RESOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS BY RETURNING TO THE 'OLD WAYS.' PART 14.

The reaction of the Right-wing paramilitaries, whose response to crime had been to systematically target and callously murder the poor, desperate and homeless children and youths who had been living on the streets of Brazil.

The fact that leaders, or, more accurately, bad rulers such as Bolsonaro, want to resurrect the days of the South American dictators.  

Is an indication of their lack of belief in, and inability to inspire the building of a future which is better than the past and the present. 

They are attesting to their belief in the need for war, not only between their version of Christianity and other religions, but also between their version of 'good people' and 'bad people.'

A successful and enlightened, liberal nation cannot be build on the model of an army, or be led by latterday Napoleons, Nelsons, Castros, Bolivars, et al.

Transforming the conflicted and desperate and despairing countries of the Americas, and other regions of the world, which are similarly affected by the shortage of resources, viable employment and non-human resources. 

Cannot be realised by any quick fix and painless measures. It requires the collective resolve and action of the people of each country.  

And of all the affected and less affected countries to come together and act collectively. 

It is about matching and marrying appropriate problems with appropriate solutions. 

It is about each country and all the countries having a closer look at how they are accumulating, redistributing and using the resources they have, individually and collectively.
