In fact, it is more likely that there is an inverse relationship between their idealised reputation, and their actual state of being. 

And this is as true of President Donald Trump's United States of America, as it is of what the Saudi Monarchy has made of Saudi Arabia. 

Dig just below the surface of any 'great nation', any empire, and you will find the rottenness, the decay, the corruption and the concealed injustices, on which they are founded and sustained. Their sepulchred state, if you like.


So, no, the atrocious murder of Jamal Khoshoggi will not, and, it seems, would almost be an act of great injustice the other victims of Saudi inhumanity.  

If it were to become the catalyst which brings about the collapse of the evil and anachronistic government of Saudi Arabia. 

And of its unholy alliance with the French, American and British governments. 

But, of course, if it could be manipulated into expanding the existing fissure in the armour of the Saudi monarchy and ruling elites. 


And result in the eventual collapse, implosion or root and branch reform of Saudi government and society. 

Whereas the deaths of thousands of other Saudis, Yemenis and Syrians had not been able to do it. That would still be a welcomed and great cause for rejoicing.

The government of Saudi Arabia does have the power to make amends for all the atrocities, both to its own citizens and to others abroad, such the Yemenis, it has perpetrated.
