JUST PHILOSOPHISING ON - WHAT IF THINGS ARE NOT AS BAD AS THEY ARE BEING MADE OUT OR APPEAR TO BE? THE END....!

Because, after all the killing of hundreds of thousands of Syrians, the maiming of hundreds of thousands more, and the devastation of much of Syria and its infrastructure and economy.

What is it that has been achieved? Is the current situation not worse than imperfect state which the war has attempted to replace with the realisation of the dreamed of 'perfect state'

Or would things remain in tact, probably except for our psychological functioning?

Us having prepared or tried to prepare for the end, but finding that it has not come, not yet, preferring, probably, to take us unawares?

And so it seems to me, that, the morale of all of this is that, there is nothing to be gained, in destroying what you/we have, because of it insufficiency.

In the uncertain expectation, hope or desire that you/we will be able to realise the dream, an ideal state which is all the more idealistic, because of how far it is from reality, from being achievable.

Continuing improvement, reform of our social condition, and the increasing enlightenment of our thinking is what is required.

Wars, revolutions and fascistic repression, will never carry the age or epoch.

Even though it is also the reality of the human condition that, the fact that a particular method of forcing change will never prove tenable, and is too costly to humanity.

Will never stop humans from resorting to using it. Whether the desired outcome is intended to benefit or harm humanity.

Sadly, humans, contemporary humans, have been and are proving ourselves to be more of a destroyer of worlds, than builders of worlds. At least, when it comes to 'us' making war on 'the other.'

Like the dog that dropped its smaller, but real bone, in the water, as it crossed the equivalent of the bridge leading to the mystical end of the rainbow.

It is only after we have lost what we had, that we know the true value of it. As we are required to begin to rebuild the foundations we have so recklessly destroyed, instead of building upon.

It is now that realise that, compared with with our current situation, what we had before, was not as bad as it then appeared, but better.
