JUST A THOUGHT - ON BREXIT AND BUST, IN THE QUEST FOR THE ELUSIVE UTOPIAN NATIONALISM. PART 3.

It will negate the moral and political authority to argue against the more virulent nationalism which is daring to make itself more visible on mainland Europe. 

It risk becoming a willing or convenient ally of those forces. The United Kingdom risk doing something which will make Europe and the world more fractious, volatile and unstable. 

In no way can that be better for Britain and the world. 

The 'democratic will of the people', which the British government is using to fuel and legitimises its precipitous rush to dissemble itself from the European Union. 

Is likely to place it in great danger of 'losing or being destroyed or severely weakened by it. 

It is, as it were, like a person or people resorting to fighting a battle, their final battle, in this case, by committing collective suicide. 

Nobody, no nation or people can win a battle by committing collective suicide. It is a self-defeatist act of great stupidity and moral, if not legal dilemmas. 

Especially when some of those who are doomed to die, are opposed to being compelled to do so. 

In which case it might no longer be 'collective suicide', but rather, homicide and suicide.

And now the British government and its Prime Minister are, not surprisingly finding themselves to be out of their depth, in trying to paddle up vertical rapids. Which, in this case, has never been done before. 

Unpalatable as is clearly seems to be for some of the ineterate Brexiteers, the only credible option for the United Kingdom, seems to be for it to remain within the European Union. 

And for it to do so by way of having an appropriately drafted and executed second Referendum.
