JAMAICA: A NATION WHICH CONTINUES TO GO BACKWARD INSTEAD OF FORWARD? PART 11.

Are Jamaicans more disciplined, respectful and civil in how they conduct themselves, now, as opposed to in the past?

Do they ordinarily, have as much pride in being Jamaicans and living in Jamaica, as they and/or their parents and grandparents had in the past?

And, if so, what is it about Jamaica that they have pride in; is it something real or mythical?

Something substantial, tangible, or a reputation which is now no longer grounded in what has become of Jamaica and her people?

And, if Jamaicans, in the main, now have less pride in their country, meaning the sum of the Island, its government and its people, then, why is that; and how can it be put right?

And what about the political system which Jamaicans continue to hold onto; how well or badly is it serving them?

How efficient and effective is it, or can it be to have one political party taking power and doing things one way.

And to then have the other come to power and then do it differently, not necessarily better, before it is the other's turn to take over?

Could it be the case that Jamaicans need a better system of government than the British and American models?

Could it be that they need to extract what is best from these and other models, including the Chinese model?

Instead of remaining grounded to the decaying two-party system which is improving either the quality of governance or the prosperity of Jamaican nation?

To be continued!
