JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON HOW ALL THINGS ARE THEORETICALLY POSSIBLE, SOME ARE DESIRABLE, BUT ALL ARE NOT PROBABLE! PART 1

There is an understandable desire within us humans to constantly improve things.

Our way of life, our standard of life. Our knowledge and understanding of ourselves and the world and universes around and within us.

But we cannot accomplished or realise all of our desires, our hopes and our wishes.

Especially when the relate to not only us, but to other people and situations over which we do not have any or enough influence and power.

This requires us to become more focus and circumspect. More pragmatic in deciding what is desirable, probably and achievable.

And not to become too obsessed with wishes, hope and too high and unrealistic expectations, which might not or are clearly unachievable.

These things include personal, social, political, economic and, yes, even spiritual and/or religious aspirations and ambitions.

Considered from the perspective of the proverbial 'average person', it is likely that our aspiration is to 'have a good life',  or 'a happy life.'

A 'good life' could and might mean different things, however slightly or hugely different that might be for different people.

As 'good', like 'happy', can mean different things in different cultures, customs, traditions and religions.

All of which are likely to have some impact on the perceptions of the people whose lives they have impacted upon.

If, as Marxist theory holds, and I believe it to be so, that we are largely the product of our environment.

To be continued!
