JUST A THOUGHT - ON HOW DEALING WITH DRUGS, KNIFE AND GUN CRIMES, IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERYBODY, AND NOT JUST A 'LAW ENFORCEMENT PROBLEM.' PART 1.

'Like a grossly neglected home which leaves its inhabitants overwhelmed about being able to bring it back into good order.  

 So can the citizens of neighbourhood, village, town or city become depressed or seemingly despondent about arresting and reclaiming the areas where they live. 

 assimilating the mind-set of despair and acceptance of 'their/our fate', though it need not be an unavoidable one.'

 As Britain reflects on the latest victim of its criminal fraternity's readiness to injury and murder those whom it desires to kill and main. 



The lack of sufficient Police on the streets and crime prevention and detection resources not being adequate for the job, is being given much prominence. 

 As the ruthless murder of a 14 year old child is being mourned, people are looking to their government and 'the police', to do more. 

 The same Police which has often been criticised for unfairly targeting black and minority youths. 

 The category of people who are, ironically, suffering most from the knife and gun crimes in Britain's inner cities. 


Just as is the many inner cities in the United States, Jamaica, Brazil, Honduras, et al. 

 Yes, if Britain wants to see what might become, what is becoming of some areas of their inner cities. 

 Then, they need to look to the 'failing inner cities' of parts of the United States of America, Canada, Brazil's Favelas, Haiti, et al. 

 Places where it is not only the physical environment and ecosystem is decaying. But also the souls and the morality of the people living in these places.

Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
