JUST A THOUGHT ON - JAIR BOLSONARO, SAVIOUR OF THE NATION OF BRAZIL? PART 3.

'So, why do I get the impression that, despite the dominance of its mythical racial harmony persona, Brazil, like a number of other countries in the Americas. 

Is still a manifestation of the most virulent and insidious form of racist and colonialist philosophy which fuelled ' White European domination of the world?' 

That if Brazil were located in Africa, it would have been like the former Apartheid Regime. That if it were located in Europe, it might well have been like the former Third Reich?'

And what are we to make of Saint President Bolsonaro's inaugural speech committing himself to ridding Brazil of corruption? 

 What has he been doing about preventing this same corruption to spread and consume Brazil and all aspects of private and public life during the 25 years that he has been a public servant? 




Has he, like probably many Brazilians, been affected by and benefit from it; directly or indirectly? 

 Or, is it the case that President Saint Jair Bolsonaro, as well as being an aspiring Saint, has been also been a de facto 'teflonised public servant'? 

A person who has been immune to attracting and harbouring the dirty, 'the sin' of corruption? 

After all, corruption is not something which can exist outside the body, the system of its host. 



And we know only too well that it is men, it is people and their social systems, such as their governments, which are the host, the receptacle without which corruption cannot exist. 

 Is President Bolsonaro going to vet the members of his government, the government employees, for acts of and/or their resistance to being corrupted, before he and his advisors appoint them?

Or, as so often is the case, it is only words, words which really come cheaply, except you happen to be living in China.

After all, which other presidents do Bolsonaro reminds us of; which other grandstanding presidents come to mind?

Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
