JUST A THOUGHT ON - JAIR BOLSONARO, SAVIOUR OF THE NATION OF BRAZIL? PART 4.

If not President Donald Trump of the United States of America? If not President Macron of France? 

 Both of whom, like President Bolsonaro, have declared their intention, by words or gestures, to make their countries 'great again.' 

And what have become of President Macron and President Trump, despite their populist support amongst the people? 

Have they been able to rid their nations of the problems they have, and, where they have done so, have they been able to do it as easily and quickly as they had promised? 


The answer, in both cases, is a categoric no, No! Such a thing does not happen in the countries of the world which practice what goes by the name of 'liberal-democracy.' 

Which is probably why Macron has unsuccessfully tried to make himself into a 'latter-day French Emperor.' 

And Trump has, again, unsuccessfully, attempted to make himself into the First Autocratic President of the United States of America.

And what has become of their popularity? Yes, it has evaporated as quickly as it was artificially created, and is now becoming no more than a distant memory.


 And, yes, which is why Bolsonaro wants to make himself into the First 21st Century Fascist Dictator of Brazil, and return its oppressive past. 

But it will not work; at least, not for long, and not successfully. 

Because the Brazilian masses who stand to lose much, are not going to allow themselves to endure the most pain, so that the elite fascistic minority can reap the greatest benefit.

The Genie of 'freedom', of 'liberty', of 'the struggle for equality and the rights of humans to have their diversity and environments respected.

Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
