L.G.: Yes, quite so, T. It seems to me that either the believers have failed to consider what I might be doing with my endless amount of time. 

 Or the make foolish assumptions about me. Which is probably not all that surprising, as I cannot be more than an imaginary 'God' to them. 

 They see me as their protector, and imagine that I am always seeing each and every human, as well as other things, upon the face of the Earth. 


They ask me to protect them from dangers and threats, some of which they bring onto themselves. 

 And when I fail to intervene to protect them, they either imagine that they must or might have done something to deserve their unfortunate faith. Or they imagine that I have forsaken them.

 T.: It seems that you, L.G., is having to carry an even bigger Cross than your purported Son, Jesus Christ?

 L.G.: Yes, T! I am having to carry a terribly heavy Cross, and impossible responsibility for meeting the expectations of you humans. 


I mean, the faithful bow down and worship me, praise me, and give sincere thanks to me for the good things they want me to do, and the good things they say I have done. 

 They even appeal to me to destroy those whom they say are their enemies - without thinking that they might not be mine. 

 And if their enemies are defeated, they attribute it to me. Never, do they wonder how sad, how guilty and useless I must be feeling. When I persistently fail to intervene to give them the things they are asking for.

Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
