JUST A THOUGHT - ON HOW THINGS ARE BECOMING MORE IMPERMANENT! PART 1.

It is said that business needs a climate of certainty for it to take place and thrive. 

That investors will not invest their money in any venture if they lack confidence in the stability and security of the economic environment. 

Which means that they will not invest their money in ventures which will not guarantee them a fair return in terms of profits over the duration of their involvement with the venture. 

And, although investors will invest in what we might call high risk ventures, they will only do so if the venture can guarantee them a sufficiently high return to outweigh the level of risk they are 
taking. 

Of course, even with the promise of a high or very high return on their investment, there is still some risk that they could lose all of their money. 

Naturally, however, prudent entrepreneurs and investors will not, where they have a choice. Invest in regions and countries where there is a high level of social, political and/or industrial tension and conflict. 

And where such conflicts and tensions are likely to continue for a substantial period of time. 

Which is why the United Kingdom, currently being traumatised and tortured by the process of breaking away from the European Union, and, effectively, Europe and much of the world, is not attractive to business and investors. 

They are put off by the high level of political, social and economic uncertainty surround the country and its economy. 

It is also for this reason why countries such as Venezuela, the unfortunately named Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan and South Sudan, Somalia, to name just a few. 

Are likely to become worse before their economic will get better, despite their potential to become 'rich' from their natural and human resources.

Of course, it is not just business which requires a stable and secure, peaceful environment in which to prosper.
