AM I AN ANTI-SEMITE, OR BEING ANTI-SEMITIC? PART 9.

And what of my religious upbringing, or, more accurately, my earlier and, in some respect, continuing interpretation of the Christian Bible, and western civilization? 

 Well, as I have already affirmed, it is the case that I have formed the view that the Christian Bible, like Christianity and western civilization, does have an 'anti-Jewish' prejudice to it. 

 It should not be surprising, therefore, if I, coming from a Christian background, though one to which I am no longer committed. 

 Should be found to have, at least, some feeling and views of uneasy towards Judaism. 


Although I do not consider myself to be what could be called 'an antisemite.' 

 I have read of the very formidable role of Jewish capitalists in helping to build Europe, into the advanced industrial and commercial continent which it has become. 

 And of how European Christendom has repaid them with hatred, resentment and persecution. 

 The kind of centuries old and intellectually deficient bile which has led to the Holocaust.
