This is why Donald Trump's Presidency is likely to become know as the most destructive and pernicious interregnum in the history of the American presidency. 

Yes, the American Embassy has been removed from Tel Aviv, but, if sanity is regained after Trump is turfed out of the Presidency, we should see it being moved from Jerusalem back to Tel Aviv. 

Just as how we should see any American recognition of the Occupied Golan Heights as Israeli territory, to be revoked. 


And just as how we should see America returning to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action nuclear agreement which American and 5 other nations have reached, regarding Iran's nuclear development.

Well might Trump have been beavering away, and even succeeding at removing all significant aspects of former President Obama's legacy.  

But his Presidency is likely to be defined as probably the most destructive and toxic yet.

Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
