Might it, therefore, not have been the case that 'Jewish exceptionalism.' 

Had developed partly as a defence mechanism, strategy to survive against and prevailed over the opposition which they have been subjected to by other tribes? 

Both in the Middle East and in Europe? From this perspective, there is no longer any need for me to see 'Jewish exceptionalism' as a problematic concept of reality. 

Especially when I take it a step further, and see the friction and animosity and hatred between Jews and Christians and Muslims, as not so much a visceral one. 

But rather that of a conflict between the evolution of their religions, and their Gods.  

 And their scribes, disciples and followers' interpretations about what is and should be, the relationship between their God, who I consider to be a non-existent god.

It seems to me that the early Christians, having given up their own Gods, and the worshipping of them. Either forcefully or willingly, took on the'God' and religion of the Jews. 

 And then began a process of 'religious appropriation.' They wanted to make the God of the Jews, who was, it seems to me, a quintessentially 'Jewish God.'

  So, what are my thoughts about Hamas' unprecedented attack on parts of Israel, which has resulted in hundreds of men, women and children, some of them soldiers, being killed and thousands of Israelis becoming shocked and traumatised as they have probably never experienced before? Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
