And those of us who have been fortunate enough to have knowledge of different versions of how Man has used 'God.'  As a basis to establish and maintain the injurious oppression of his fellow humans. 

Cannot logically fail to appreciate the weakness of the, what I would call the 'assumptive' or 'ventriloquization' of the relationship between 'God' and humans. Which exists even today.

Similarly, in the context of contemporary morality and human rights considerations.  


The 'exceptionalism of God' argument could not, cannot avoid the allegation that God, having taken advantage of his 'Godly power.' 

God would have exploited and abused Mary, by causing her to submit to his will or intention to impregnate her. 

That she, Mary, not having been a more independent minded and less gullible woman. Had submitted to being raped. 

Thinking it to be a 'blessing', in much the same way as men, professing themselves to be acting as servants of their gods, have, throughout the ages, and still rape women, men and even children.

And so it has come to pass, that, what would have construed an act of rape, if the event did really occurred, or, if it had not, as seemly more likely.

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better.   And, yes, we could also add that the increasing indifference of some of the neighbouring Arab countries in the Middle East to the plight of the Palestinians, have also contributed towards the attack of 7th October on their Israeli oppressors.
