AM I AN ANTI-SEMITE, OR BEING ANTI-SEMITIC? PART 17.

Like all forms of racism, sexism, gender discrimination and religious extremism. 

 Antisemitism should be defined within the relevant contexts which acknowledge and take into consideration the probably and/or proven motives and factors impacting on all the actors involved in transaction.

 It is, for example, acknowledged that Europe and Europeans have a long-standing enmity toward Jewish people. 

 However incompatible that might appear to be, considering the fact that Christianity has, for many centuries, been transplanted on and has taken root in the European soul. 


However, when we look at what is taking place between the State of Israel and its people, and the Palestinians. 

 It would be very superficial to simply blame the hostility of the Palestinians towards the Israelis and their state, on 'Palestinian antisemitism.'

 If, for example, the Native American hates the 'White man', who just happens to come from Europe, for having invaded and driven him from his land. 

 And, if the African hates the 'White man', who also hails from Europe, for having invaded his land and take him and enslave him. Does that make the Native American and the African a 'racist'?

Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
