AM I AN ANTI-SEMITE, OR BEING ANTI-SEMITIC? PART 18.

There is no denying the fact that, 'it is the Jews', assisted by their Christian advocates, who have driven out the Palestinians from their land and taken it over. 

 If, because of such acts, the Palestinians, after decades of occupation, have developed the mindset of 'hating the Jews.' 

Not because they are Jews per se, although that is how some will wish to perceive it, but because they have taken their land and subject them terrible oppression. 

 Then, with what right has anybody, including Jewish people, label them, the Palestinians, 'antisemitic'? 

 It is my opinion that such a charge would be an unreasonable and quite illogical one. It would, or should have no basis in rational, as opposed to 'rationalised' discourse.



It would also be legitimate to take this example of what should not be considered as 'antisemitism' further. 

 By arguing that that the people who support the struggle of the Palestinians in their legitimate desire to establish and maintain an independent and sovereign homeland for themselves. 

 Supporters amongst whom are many people of Jewish ancestry and origins, should not be condemned as being 'antisemitic.' 

 After all, there are many 'pro-Israel' Jewish activists and supporters for whom 'all those who oppose, in whatever and all means, Israel's occupation and oppression of the Palestinians, should, ipso facto, be condemned as being 'antisemitic.'

Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
