Even as she approaches her centenary year.  Apparently with the mindset that, it is given to humans to endure good health and good fortune irrespective of their longevity and their particular circumstances.

 Now, if we were to philosophically digress, who amongst us humans would not desire to enjoy good health. 

 Both physically and psychologically, even up to the point of our departure from the world of the living? 

 Yes, probably none or only the most masochistic of us. But it is also the case that the desires of us humans are often at odds with the realities of the world and environments in which we live. 


And, just as how the births of probably most us are preceded by pain. 

 Either to ourselves, if we could remember the remarkable event, and/or to our mothers, like my dear mother. 

 So, also, is our inevitable exit from life, through death, oftentimes preceded by pain; to both ourselves and to those who have loved us. 

 Because, of what means or causes should we meet our ultimate destiny, if not through some fatal accident, homicide, suicide, conflict, misadventure, or  the shutting down of one or other of our vital organs?
