Prime Minister May, in failing to resign her leadership of the government.  

By clinging onto power when it was clear that her government and the nation was in turmoil and she would not be able to deliver a viable Brexit.  

Taking the country to 'the promised land' which she and the Brexiteers have deceptively convinced themselves, really exist. 

Has caused unnecessary and avoidable further massive harm to her legacy. And even more detrimentally, to the nation She has to take responsibility for this, however grating and unpalatable it clearly is to her. 


Especially when what has happened to her is compared with the fate of 'Cut and Run Cameron.' Such is politics. 

That today you are feted and tomorrow you have milk-shake or eggs thrown over you.  

Or that the same people who made you into their 'champion', discard you when you fail - which is more often not the case - to deliver, or they no longer want what you promise them.

So, yes, Prime Minister May had to go, even though she still has a couple of years left in her term. 

But who is going to take over from her? Who amongst her plotters and competitors is now going to be condemned, cursed by the offer or 'winning' of 'the poison chalice?
