GERMAN GRAND PRIX QUALIFYING - IT IS STILL TEAM MERCEDES AND HAMILTON AND BOTTAS, WITH POLE + P3!

Well might it be said that, it is only us humans and the gods can out do us.

And so it was, that, at the Hockenheim Grand Prix Circuit yesterday, the fallibilities of Team Ferrari's engineering, did brought them down and denied them the Podium finish which had appeared to be theres for certain.

Which is another example of the truism, the axiom that, in Formula 1 racing, it is never really done until the race is finished.

And another reinforcement of the principle that, prudent Grand Prix drivers never give up or should do so.

Until they have crossed the finishing line at the end of the Grid, because, you just never know what mistakes or misfortune other racers might make; with or without the mischievous assistance of the gods.

You just never know, which is why, at least during Qualifying, the wheels seems to have come of both Team Ferrari's cars, as they succumbed to one or other mechanical problems.

Thereby opening the door to Team Mercedes' and Team Red Bull's cars.

As Hamilton made it to Pole, with a blistering and not to be matched penultimate lap in Q3, to be followed home by Max Verstappen and Bottas, in that order.

So, once again, A Big Congratulation to Team Mercedes and Hamilton and Bottas, and to Team Red Bull and Verstappen, for taking the Podium places.

With an additional nod to Hamilton, for having achieved the Pole which has, somewhat unbelievably, eluded him for over 10 years. Yes, how can that have been so, unless that it had been fated to be so?!

And now, as we get ready to be intrigued, fascinated, thrilled, disappointed.  To experience all the range of emotions available to the audiences of competitive sports, in a few hours time.

So should we be mindful of the fact that, notwithstanding the initial advantages and risks which Podium positions confer on those who hold them.

It is what happens today, during the whole duration, start to finish, of the 2019 German Grand Prix, that matters in determining who will win it and who will achieve what positions.

Will the GGP be as or more thrilling than the British and Austrian Grand Prix?

Well, there is no doubt that the circuit is  probably as challenging and variable as the former are, and that Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel and Team Ferrari, and others.

Will want to recover lost ground and/or achieve outcomes which have so far eluded them.

Let us see which team and racers will be blessed with the best deployment of driving skills, race tactics and strategies, team/racer coordination and grasp of the Golden Wire guiding them around the Hockenheim Circuit!!

And may the racers gods give us a safe race.
