As we aged and are impacted by the ravages of time and systemic degradation.

No longer, it seems, is my dear mother able to process, analyse and make sense of the data which is bombarding her, daily.  

 As well as she had been able to do, prior to her becoming what I have come to perceive as her tendency towards being deluded by it. 

 The information or data which she perceives, is not always or probably even most times, being perceived as I or 'more rational persons', would have interpreted it as being. 


Something which makes it more likely for her, my dear mother, to become afflicted by the emotional and psychological distress we can experience.  

 When the demons within us temporarily escape their suppression by our rational mind.

Just as how, according to our particular beliefs, when the gods or the inhabitants of 'the spirit world' intervene in the physical world of us humans.
