It can be a source of major or seemingly major problems. Which is why my dear mother, and all who are touched by her apparent delusion, are currently suffering.

Not that this apparent transition from living in the 'real world' and meeting its sometimes seemingly frightening threats, to taking refuge in a virtual one which our psyche has created. 

 Makes much sense at all. Considering that this virtual world, as my dear mother has so persistently testified to, can also be even more terrifying than 'the real world.' 

 Of course, it is by now quite clear, or should be to me and to others, that the people who have, by reasons of their particular circumstances, created these virtual worlds, are not able or willing to let go of them. 

 Of making them redundant and return to live in 'the real world.'

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better.   So, what are my thoughts about Hamas' unprecedented attack on parts of Israel, which has resulted in hundreds of men, women and children, some of them soldiers, being killed and thousands of Israelis becoming shocked and traumatised as they have probably never experienced before?
