JUST PHILOSOPHISING ON - 'DIRECT DEMOCRACY' OR 'PEOPLE'S POWER' BEING NO WAY TO RUN A COUNTRY! PART 1.

Call it what you may, 'direct democracy', 'people's power',  or 'populist or bloody revolution.' 

None of these 'systems' or methods are effective and appropriate ways of removing the current government and replacing it with a new one. 

Yes, it is true that these rebellions, uprisings, revolutions, demonstrations, etc, provide a great deal of oxygen and meat for the media, be it the populist or more considered and serious media and broadcasters. 

That they provide increased or new demands for the 'experts on international affairs' to demonstrate their relevance.  

As well livening up the perennial debate on the comparative advantages of 'liberal democracy', versus the floundering of decaying dictatorships, and the apparent deficits of Chinese and Russian societies. 

Not that these debates will necessarily provide the listeners and viewers with anything new or profound.  

Since most of the media, whether it is acting as the mouthpiece of the East or the West, the North or the South, is already preprogrammed to disseminate the traditional dogma.

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better. But, at least the Palestinians were alive, they had their homes, their roads, water, electricity, the basic requirements for having at least a basic life.  They had more freedom of movement in their 'reservations' than they have now, with the storm troopers crawling over and around them as so many wasps.  So, yes, it is likely that, for the majority of Palestinians who are being forced to pay the price the Zionist Israeli State has decided to extract from them, the attack of 7th October might be considered to have been a tactical mistake by Hamas and the other Resistance Fighters.   So, what are my thoughts about Hamas' unprecedented attack on parts of Israel, which has resulted in hundreds of men, women and children, some of them soldiers, being killed and thousands of Israelis becoming shocked and traumatised as they have probably never experienced before?
