Mind you, none of this has so far resulted in lessening of her apparently profound dissatisfaction with life, her life, and her expression of negativity. 

Encouraged to focus on her happiness, my dear mother was quick to rejoin; 'what happiness?' 

The implication being that, 'with nothing to be happy about, how can I be happy?' 


And yet, although my mother has, on more than one occasion, ventured to take it to the next step, of suggesting that she might as well die, as her life is not worth living. 

He constant preoccupation with her aches and pains, her failing vision and so forth.  

 And her implied, if not expressed need for more medicines and medical treatment, could suggest that she might not be in as much of an hurry to leave the land of the living as she might be letting on.

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better.   So, what are my thoughts about Hamas' unprecedented attack on parts of Israel, which has resulted in hundreds of men, women and children, some of them soldiers, being killed and thousands of Israelis becoming shocked and traumatised as they have probably never experienced before?
