JUST A THOUGHT - ON IRAN'S ACCIDENTAL DESTRUCTION OF UKRAINE'S AIRLINE PASSENGERS. PART 1.

May the gods give strength to the families and friends of all the passengers whose lives were extinguished when members of Iran's armed forces mistakenly fired on a Ukrainian passenger airline.

Yes, I am probably stating the obvious when I say it should not have happened.  

And, with hindsight, if you like, that it would not have happened, had the government of Iran taken the precautionary steps of closing Iran's Tehran's International Airport to all but military traffic. 

As well as others that could have been potential targets of the Americans.


In anticipation of possible, if not probable attacks from the United States armed forces, in response to Iran's missiles attack on American bases in Iraq.  

I could, and will go on to say, such a precautionary step would not even have been required.  

Had the President of the United States not taken the unprecedented and seemingly heinous step of murdering General Sulaimani, the now deceased head of Iran's Armed Forces.

Yes, how tragic that President Donald Trump and his Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, should have sought to justify the murder of Qassem Sulaimani on the pretext that it would save American and European lives.

  And, yes, we could also add that the increasing indifference of some of the neighbouring Arab countries in the Middle East to the plight of the Palestinians, have also contributed towards the attack of 7th October on their Israeli oppressors.
