It is of the nature of propaganda and fake reports to present your world-view as or as if it is that of the majority of the people. 

Although the world-view of the powerful manipulating elite ruling classes will always count for more than the majority of a country's ordinary citizens. 

We should be mindful of this fact when we look at Iran and its plight, through the prism of 'anti-Iran west', and its expatriate opposition.

 Any delay would only make the pain worse. Not least because it would be seen as an attempt by the Iranians to muddy the waters and obscure the true cause of the jet and its passengers' destruction. 


It would also cause further harm to the country, as it would, and has. By placing pressure on members of the country's government and armed forces to procrastinate, be economical with the truth and even blatantly lie about the incident. 

There is nothing to suggest that the government of Iran and the Supreme Leader did not know or should not have known the reason for this catastrophe, probably within hours of it happening. 

They might not have known about the full circumstances leading up to it, but they would have known that it was caused by missiles fired by members of the country's armed forces.

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better.
