AN ENIGMATIC AND POIGNANT JOURNEY AROUND MY AGEING AND EVOLVING MOTHER! PART 71.

And she does all of this while continuing to make her old concerns and dissatisfaction essential parts of her daily routine. 

Yes, she still complains of not being able to see out of one of her eye, apparently with the clear expectation that this is something which is or can be improved. 

Even though it seems equally, if not clearer to me that that is not the case, and that she will just have to come to terms with it as it is. 

Difficult as that might be, considering that it was only recently that I was having some 'face time' on the phone with her.  


When she appeared without any of her glasses, trying to keep the affected eye closed and telling me that she cannot see anything out of it. 

Dear Mother, I said to her, where are your glasses; why are you not wearing them, and why are you covering one of your eyes, when you should be using both of them to see me? 

But on the whole, I do believe that I am detecting more resignation from my dear mother, in how she is expressing herself and voicing her dissatisfaction with this and that.
