AN ENIGMATIC AND POIGNANT JOURNEY AROUND MY AGEING AND EVOLVING MOTHER! PART 75.

Probably not unsurprisingly, as my dear mother advances back down from the top of the mountain where her life's journey has taken her. 

 She does have her moments when she relapses into re-experiencing troubling moments of her life. 

 Which is how she came to have been having new episodes of, according to her, hearing her door bell being rung repeatedly, and even her door being pressed against. 

 An event, real or imagined, which required the intervention of night staff to investigate what she had reported and offered her reassurance. 


Needless to say, no one was found ringing my dear mother's door bell, but she clearly remains anxious about what she would say she heard and feared. 

 Having had a discussion with her, in which I tried to provide her with some validation.  

 But without giving her any confirmation that what she heard really happened in the, what I shall call, 'the objective world of the others; including me.'
