IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE STARS - AN ACCOUNT OF LIVES IMPACTED BY 'EVERYDAY ADVERSITIES.' PART 45.

'What we recall of our experiences of the past, tends to be a factor of how they impacted on our senses at the time, the strength of our continuing attachment to those experiences.

And the extent to which we have succeeded in assimilating them into our subsequent experiences and move on with our lives.'

Albeit a situation which they acknowledged could have been even worse.

The least Kazaliwa's defence team could have done was to arrange for them to have a last meeting with him to say their goodbyes.

Before he was extracted from the holding cell in probably the lowest floor of the Court buildings, and driven back to the Prison in which he had been remanded before the hearing.

Until the system decides on where next they should incarcerate him, as he begins his prison career journey.

And so it was that they had their poignant last meeting, and were allowed to say their goodbyes, until they next met, which would not be sooner than another 4-6 weeks.

For Nzuri, Mfanyaki and Mzaliwa, this meeting was one which was full of sadness and poignancy.

Probably as befit somebody who had not come to terms with or accepted the, for them at least, painful path they saw him as having taken.

To be continued!
