All of this means that, making the United States a land in which Americans of colour are placed on even roughly equal racial, economic, social political footing as white Americans. 

If a massive and time consuming challenge. It clearly is a more difficult challenge than, for example, getting a man on the Moon. 

And god knows, it might be more difficult than getting a man and/or a woman on Mars and Venus. 

All of which might explain why African Americans are still at the bottom rung of the American 'Dream Tree', 

One Hundred and Fifty Five Years after they fought for and were supposedly set free, in 1865.

This objective, of Americans of colour achieving sustainable racial equality and socio-economic justice, is not something which can be achieved by themselves alone. 

Nobody involved in this momentous struggle should carry or propagate the illusory idea that racism is not the black people's problem; racism is the problem of all peoples, white, black, Chinese, Asians, Indigenous Peoples, all of us.

And it should go without saying that it can only be improved, resolved by all of us, inter-generationally, taking responsibility for and working towards finding desirable solutions and excoriate it.

This struggle requires everybody to become involved. Irrespective of the fact that some will be sprinters and some will be long distance runners pacing themselves for the long haul.
