JUST A THOUGHT - ON GEORGE FLOYD' MURDER AND AMERICA'S OBSESSION WITH KILLING BLACK AND POOR PEOPLE. PART 4.

The most recent example of which we have seen in President Trump posing with a Bible in from of a church, following his declared intention to use his armed forces "to dominate the streets." A declaration which speaks of power, raw power, but not of 'greatness.'

Greatness, after all, is so much more than raw power. Greatness, for me, at any rate, speaks of a certain consummation  

A certain maturity, a certain prudence, a certain finesse, a certain demonstration of exceptionally successful national and international leadership and governance.

As well as being a people who are in the forefront of economic, political, social, intellectual, military, and societal advancement. 

Quite simply, the United States has not been in the forefront of all of these developments, especially that pertaining to the protection of basic human rights and racial and social justice.



Which is why we are; not here again, as it were, but still here where the inherent and structural as well as functional weaknesses, the evils of the American Criminal Justice, is still resulting in the callous murdering of innocent Americans of colour.

So, considering that it is not the first time Americans have been here. That the murder of George Floyd by renegade police officers, is not the first, but one of the numerous, probably hundreds of times renegade police officers have murdered innocent Americans of colour. 

What can we, what can Americans expect to be different this time? Are the protests and demonstrations louder this time? Are they more wide  spread and national? 

Are the protestors, the people of the United States more enraged and angrier at the injustices of their police forces, their criminal justice system and failure, refusal of their government to take effective action to bring to an end the racial injustices which have been so pervasice and corrosive in American society for the past nearly 500 years?
