RELIGION DILEMMAS AND PARADOXES - THE RELEVANCE AND VALUE OF 'GOD' IN OUR LIVES TODAY! PART 3.

'If humans aspire for a better life, then we need a utilitarian and activist 'God', and not a passive and non-interventionist one.'

How does it impacts and cast light or darkness upon our lives? Is the relevance of 'God' and its value impact on all of our lives or just the lives of some of us; such as those who believe in 'God?'

On what areas or aspects of our lives can we see the relevance of 'God' casting its light or dark shadows?

Does it differ from religion to religion and whether our vision of 'God' is that of a sentient being or an inanimate object representing 'God?'

Does 'God's' relevance has meaning for our physical, spiritual, economic, mental and psychological wellbeing, as well as our political wellbeing?

And, if 'God' is relevant to our lives, is his relevance inherent, or is it ascribed; socially and culturally generated by us, as opposed to having been ordained by a 'sentient God'?

Is it a case of us having 'inherited' 'God', as it were, and deciding, if, indeed, this is a position which we have deliberately discussed, rationally, and making, arriving at a decision about it.

A decision as to whether we should, whether we still have a need to continue to believe in, to worship and service 'God'?

To keep the 'religious', the 'God' company or firm going; probably feeling that it is our duty to do so?

To be continued!
