Mama, this is not the case; this cannot be so, said I. These are people who I trust; they are people who I have observed looking out for you. Going out of their way to visit you in hospital and expressing their willingness to help you whenever it is necessary for them to do so. 

Mama, these are the people who have been your sole carers since the Corvid-19 lockdown. 

Have they threatened you Mama? Have they abused you physically or verbally, Mama? No, said she. 

Then why are you being the way you are being, Mama? Because them move me things from where me leave them. Because them take away me things. 



What things, Mama? Me put me little book in me draw and me can't find it; them take it away. 

Mama you might have misplaced your little book; I misplace things as well, Mama. As we get older these things happen. Mama, did you see anybody take away or move your things? 

No, but nobody else isn't here; it is only me and them. Mama that is not right.  

You should not accuse people when you have no proof that they have done what you say they have done. It is not right Mama.

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better.
