AUSTRIAN GRAND PRIX - AN UNLIKELY RACE AND CONGRATULATIONS TO ALEX ALBON! FINIS.

The outcome was that Albon's car spun around and saw him exiting the race, while Lewis' car remained in good enough shape to see him completing the race.

But only being able to make it to P.4, after being punished with a 5 second penalty.

While Lewis and his fans might have been disappointed that he had not progressed, effectively, from his starting position on the grid, by the end of the race.

It was a disappointment which would have been nothing compared to that experienced by Alex Albon and Team Red Bull.

Mainly because, not only was this the second time that Alex and Lewis have found themselves in race-ending uninvited vehicular embraces.  But, once again, it brought a premature end to near certain points scoring races by Albon.

And it shows; Alex Albon was very very disappointed, and would understandably be feeling very unset, as he fought to contain and repress his frustration and pain.

And, to his credit, he did it successfully, and, for that alone, he could have been awarded Driver of the Race.

A Big Congratulation to you, Alex Albon. Because, whether or not Hamilton could have successfully pulled his car a bit more to the right, as it swung around the corner along the race lining line.

Or whether, with hindsight, you could have given him abit more berth by moving off the track, is one that is best left to the gods, who have not been known for speaking for themselves.

What was done was done in the moment, and the analysis which follows is done based on the evidence and interpretation of the incident, and the benefit of  hindsight.

Perception is what counts, and the perception is now one of Alex and Hamilton having come into unwelcomed vehicular embraces on two occasion, and Albon's participation in both races ended as a consequence.

Sometimes it is not all about winning the race, but also about the racers quality of participating and performing in it.

An example of which we had the pleasure of seeing Lando Norris  achieving the fastest lap of the race in the final lap, and putting himself on the Podium ahead of Hamilton.

Nevertheless, let me take the opportunity to give a Big Congratulation to Valtteri Bottas, Charles Leclerc, and Lando Norris and their respective Teams for having taken P.1, P.2 and P.3 places on the Podium, respectively.
