BRITISH GRAN PRIX 2020 : HAMILTON AND TEAM MERCEDED TRIUMPHED WITH TWO AND A HALF WHEELS AND A PRAYER!!!! PART 1.

According to a popular song, when the going or journey gets tough, the tough gets going. 

So, ok, that might not be as obvious as it is meant to be. Which is that, as things gets tough or tougher, we are better able to see who are the toughest.  

As it is they who will be able to dig deep into their more abundant reserve and keep going.

And so it was for Lewis Hamilton and Team Mercedes, at Sunday's 2020 British Grand Prix at the Silverstone Circuit.  

As we watched the battered, bruised and much degraded Black Arrow Car 44 limped upto the Checkered Flag and greeted it at the end of torrid last few laps of the race. 



Yes, looking like a badly mauled mouse that had escaped from a ferocious battle with a large cat, was Car 44. 

Or, finding a more fitting analogy, it would not have been amiss to say Lewis' car could be compared with how we would have expected a fright-shocked and bloodied Impala to look.  

Having been lucky enough to escape from the jaws and claws of an hungry lioness. 

And there is much, oh so much to be said for Hamilton and Team Mercedes having a bit or alot of luck on their side, in helping them to keep Car 44 from having completely shredding the worst of its mauled tyres. 

And, probably, limping up but not being able to make it across the finishing line.
