RELIGION DILEMMAS AND PARADOXES - THE RELEVANCE AND VALUE OF 'GOD' IN OUR LIVES TODAY! PART 6.

'If we hold onto a thing or idea beyond its time, then we will prevent the birth of something more useful, more relevant.

This is a dilemma for the world's religions, as their doctrines become increasingly irrelevant and they refuse to make way for the evolution of human thought.'

Religion and the belief in 'god' have been around for probably thousands of years before what we could define as the establishment and development of  the modern political and scientific estates.

As such, and having to operate in the highly restrictive and oppressive religious conditions and environment they were set,  they were not able to compete successfully with the religious or First Estate.

Had emperical evidence and logic been allowed to be the guiding principles underpinning the competition.

Then, probably most of the major scientific developments which occurred after the French Revolution of 1789, might have taken place decades, if not centuries earlier.

If only the pace of human and
scientific development and advancement had not had to play second fiddle to unnecessary and even illogical religious prescriptions and values.

The First Estate, religion and the monarchy, later the political leaders as well, have determined what the orthodox 'human playing field' should be.

A part of this was and is the desire to give greater importance for our human existence, than the seemingly obvious one; that of being an evolutionary and cosmic by product.
