POLITICIANS ARE NOT GODS, SO DO WE NOT EXPECT TOO MUCH OF THEM? PART 4.

Or probably this is not the role of government, even if that is our expectations. 

After all, how often do we hear people complain that this government has not done anything for me. 

What is it that people want from their governments, and is it the same as what the government or governments see as its role? 


Some politicians and governments, more so those on the right of the political spectrum.  

Focus more on building and strengthening the paraphernalia of the state, such as the armed forces, the powers of the executive and judicial powers of the state. 

As well as monuments and infrastructural project symbolising  patriotism and  nationalism. 

They are less concerned with enabling the people to acquire the practical things they need to realise their potential and have a happy life.

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better.
