Have I unintentionally robbed her of a better Christmas than she would have had, or is it a matter of relativity?

Food for thought, as the saying goes. After all, it is not unusual for a person to thing that he or she is doing something with the best intention, only to see it have the effect which was not intended. 

So, now that my dear mother has embarked upon another year, a new year, will she make any New Year's resolutions, and, if so, what might, what will they be? 

Will they be 'same old same'? Will she, can she now commit herself to taking a more philosophical, a more, I am at peace with myself and the world approach to her remaining time on the Earth?



Yes, it would be good if my dear mother could, was able to take such an approach, and, as strong as she is, when I in my more rational and logical moments is able to more objectively analyse or reflect on the challenge which confronts us. 

The indications are that, no, she is not going to be able to do so. I make mention of rational and logical, because, in truth. 

If my dear mother continues the way she had been last year, and does not show any significant deterioration in her intellectual and emotional functioning.

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better.
