Including being freed from 'Jail', where he has spent over 4 years becoming institutionalised into accepting a routine which requires submissiveness and obedience from him. 

And having his Mum and/or Dad, two people whom he has been having a love/hate, ostracising/supportive relationship with for probably most of his life. 

Resuming what he would have seen as an authoritarian parental role over him. 

After all, was he not now a man, an adult who should be free to make his own decision and behave how he saw fit, providing he did not breached the conditions of his freedom? 



Yes, he, Kazaliwa, might, indeed, certainly not have been able to pay his own way. 

At least not until he acquired waged employment, as he was insistent on not applying for the social security benefit he was entitled to. 

But would not apply for because he would not debase himself to that level. 

Even if such reluctance, such refusal, might have seemed to be somewhat at odds with his then past lifestyle which did not speak eloquently of a virtuous persona.
