JUST PHILOSOPHISING ON - THE FUNDAMENTAL DISHONESTY, DECEIT AND CONSPIRACY UNDERPINNING RELIGIOUS BELIEFS. PART 1.

 

It is not difficult to understand and appreciate why, in the olden days, or the days of old.  

Our ancestors should have seen it fit to invent or create Gods. 

In the belief that their created gods would protect them from the frightening things and phenomena which threatened them. 

Things such as wild animals against which they were ill-equipped to fight. 

Natural phenomena such as earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, forest fires, diseases and starvation. 

And, of course, probably the most destructive scourge of our human evolution and history, wars.

 

Humans mercilessly killing, maiming, capturing and enslaving, and driving away fellow humans from their normal habitat and abode.

And so it was that our ancestors began to look for someone or something. 

Who or which they believed were more powerful than anything else in their environment and universe. 

Including themselves and other humans who were or were perceived as threats to them. 

Something or someone with whom they could form a protection contract.
