How they should behave, and how they are expected, by the United States, to adhere to the principles of 'human rights', 'freedom of speech', and 'democracy.' 

Never mind that this is the country whose citizens of colour have been on the nation's streets recently. 

Demanding to know why, nearly 155 years after the American Civil and the freeing of the African-Americans from slavery.  

They are still being despised and subjected to industrialised and institutional racism? 

Or why, after having successfully fought for its independence from Britain for 237 years, the United States is still not able to show much evidence of realising or embodying the grandiloquent and fine words written in the nation's Constitution?




The 'White Western Missionary' Approach of President Biden towards the international community, is a very worrying one. 

It could lead to the escalation of tensions and conflict in the world. 

It is an imperialistic stance. Very much a reiteration of the view that, the United States world-view is the best that there is.  

And that other nations should follow it, or America will not be their friend and will seek to cripple or destroy them. 

With economic and political sanctions, and force of arms, if necessary.

Diplomacy ought to be the process by which nations, through their governments, establish and maintain mutually beneficial and peaceful relationships between them; Diplomacy is not, like the Gulf Cooperation Council members and their allies, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE states, trying to bully and intimidate Qatar into doing their bidding, by surrendering its sovereignty.  Neither is diplomacy what the American government is doing, in using sanctions to force the governments of states of Iran, Russia and North Korea, into complying with its demands.  About what action they should or should not take in pursuing what they consider to be in the interest of their countries and people.  No, none of this is diplomacy. Rather it is method of force and compulsion, which is not synonymous with principle or practice of diplomacy.  Which is about the art of establishing and maintaining peaceful and mutually beneficial relationships between different countries.
