FORMULA ONE2021 : BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX - HAMILTON AND VERSTAPPEN MIXING IT UP! FINIS.

 

Without the intervention of this fateful factor, it seemed that Hamilton was on his way a P.2 finish. 

As it seemed probable that, Verstappen, with his newer tyres, should have been able to overtook him at some point during the final 6-8 laps of the race. 

It seemed a balancing of fate, as Verstappen's closeness to Hamilton had partly bee the result of a mistake made by Hamilton before he was overtaken by Verstappen. 

Swings and roundabouts it might have been, but it was one that decisively benefited Hamilton, and proved the chagrin of Max and his fans and team. 

Something which Max, more than many others, including Hamilton, is increasingly better at assuaging and moving on.

And so it is that we are being set up for another year of potentially very exciting Formula 1 racing. 

A year which might or might not see Hamilton continuing his now unprecedented career as a successful Formula 1 racer. 

Although, outside of his modelling and developing Extreme E Team Car ventures.  

Hamilton might find life not as fulfilling, not as challenging and high visibility, as he has been finding it as a successful Formula 1 racer. 

All of which would suggest that, unless he is no longer feeling the urge, the drive, like a burning fire. 

There might not be as much for him to gain being out of Formula 1 racing, than being in it. 

Not least as it would allow him better scope to argue for and promote his social and environmental causes.

Oh, and by the way, Mr, Sir Lewis Hamilton, do move on and give the 'Takingaknee' stance a miss this season. 

It has made its point, and it is time to replace it with another more potent gesture.

Finally, a Big Thank You to all the racers and their teams for providing us with an exciting Grand Prix to begin the season. 

Keep it going as you have begun, guys. Excepting, of course, those races who DNF and/or failed to finish the race.
