MONACO GRAND PRIX - MAX VERSTAPEN NAILED , WHILE VALTTERI BOTTAS LEFT STRANDED IN TH PITS OF.........!!!!

It is to Max Verstappen's credit that, not only does he tend to take all opportunities that come his way, but he also endeavours to place himself in the position to take such opportunities. As he has done in this 2021 Monaco Grand Prix, with Charles Leclerc not being able to benefit from his Q.3 Pole.

At the same time, Verstappen in far from being an opportunistic racer, as it were. The man is persistent and unforgiving in his racing application.

If his car  still has the ghost, Max will race it. If it does not, or is so lame as to be uncompetitive, then Max will, probably grudgingly, settle for the best place he can.

Who does Max Verstappen reminds me of? The younger version of Lewis Hamilton, the now 7 times Formula 1 Driving Champion.

Not that there was any evidence of this from the Great Racer during the the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix on 23rd May.  As Hamilton had not been in contention at anytime during the race weekend, and with him carving out only P.7 during the race.

While his team mate, Bottas The Cool, suffering the terrible chagrin making it to the Pits for a very quick tyre change, in the expectation of dashing out to resume battle with Max, whom he was trailing at P.2.

But only to, very unexpectedly, have his race come to an abrupt end, at the Mercedes' wheel nut gun, for whatever reason, opted to shred the wheel nut and made it impossible for the wheel to be removed.

Yes, with the Monaco Road Circuit not being one to facilitate overtaking, the race proved to be an eventful one, even though the racers behaved themselves and mostly followed the person in front of them. Thereby excluding any need for the intervention of the SC or the VSC.

And so it was that, having so far dominated the 2021 Formula 1 season.

Team Mercedes pretty much faded from the circuit at Monaco, and conceded the lead driver's position to Red Bull and Max Verstappen. With Max making it to P.1, followed by Sainz at P.2, and Norris taking P.3.

A  Very Big Congratulations to Max Verstappen and Team Red Bull, for making it to P. 1, and to Carlos Sainz Jr., and Ferrari, for taking P.2, and to Lando Norris and Team McLaren for making it P.3.

A Very Big Commiserations to Valtteri Bottas for having been failed by Team Mercedes' equipment malfunctioning, and by fate. And to Charles Leclerc, for not being able to even start the race, because of engine problems.

For Team Mercedes and Hamilton and Bottas. Indeed, for all the racers and teams who experience equipment and/or performance failure during the Monaco race.

The thing to take away from it is, of course, that of how to manage and turn around the system which is responsible, and comes back with the confidence and winning performance .... in the upcoming Baku Grand Prix.
