AN ENIGMATIC AND POIGNANT JOURNEY AROUND MY AGEING AND EVOLVING MOTHER! PART 123.

Not when decisions, once implemented, can develop their own momentum and lead to situations which were not intended or anticipated. 

Like the trigger for my dear mother's most recent journey to A&E. Yes, it was the case that she had a fall which saw her ended up on her carpeted floor. 

However, there was no observable injuries or other indications of harm. 

Nevertheless, with the paramedics having been called, primarily because of her advanced age and probably the paramedics not having dealt with her before.  

The decision was taken to transport my dear mother to the A&E department of a different hospital to the one she had, on several occasions, been taken before. 





Just so that the medical staff could check her out to make sure that everything was alright. 

Which is how they had seemed before she was taken on that unknown journey to that different hospital. 

Where she would be subjected to additional procedures to the 'vital checks' which the paramedics would have already done before the decision to take her to the hospital. 

As I had made my way to my dear mother's apartment on that morning, I had not in my wildest imagination, thought that she would not have been in her apartment when I got there. 

Surely, if they were going to take her to the hospital, someone would have contacted and inform me of it; wouldn't they?
