BELGIAN GRAND PRIM - MAX VERSTAPPEN AND RED BULL TAKING UP THE BATON WHERE THEY LEFT OFF, WITH POLE!!

'In the making of a watch or something delicate, there can be a time when the process requires the creator to be forceful, and there will be other times when the the process requires great skill and intricacy.'

A Very Big Congratulations to Max Verstappen and Team Red Bull, for making it to Pole, in an at times torrid Qualifying session of the Belgian Grand Prix.

And to George Russell and Team Williams and Lewis Hamilton and Team Mercedes, for making it to P.2 and P.3, respectively.

As the Brilliant Lando Norris lost control and spectacularly crashed out in the challenging watery conditions of Q.3

The Practice sessions and Qualifying provided Hamilton, Verstappen and all the now more competitive 'gladiatorial' racers with the opportunity to practice and sharpen their skills, tactics and strategies prior to Sunday's Grand Prix.

It is an opportunity which they have all taken, with some of them, including Verstappen, Leclerc and Norris paying a price with crashes.

At the end of it, however, and even with the at times mercurial George Russell putting in what, at the time, seemed like more than a provisional Pole lap, there was no denying Verstappen.

This Intrepid Racer continues to demonstrate his consistency and reliability in driving by, seemingly, wire, and gaining the advantage over his competitors.

Fearlessness, and going into instinctive racing mode seem to be the two or two of the currently indispensable qualities which all Formula 1 racers must have, if they are to gain tracking.

They do not have time to think about it when they are required to make crucial decisions.

They have to respond to all such situations instinctively and appropriately. With the cars being now more competitive.

What could make the difference between failure or winning, gaining or losing position and points is fate; the unexpected intervention of the gods.

And, of course, the human attributes of the racers and their teams.

And now, with Verstappen having won the advantage of another Pole, and with Russell and Hamilton having taken up their positions to his left and his right of the Grid, trailed by the rest 'legion.'

So do we who are watching and/or listening, anticipate an exciting and enjoyable  Formula 1 2021 Belgian Grand Prix.
